I have been thinking about the importance of routines lately. Especially on days where the mood swings create an unstable feeling in all aspects of life from work, to school, home, etc. I often find that some mornings I feel ready to conquer the world and other mornings, even the act of brushing my teeth feels overwhelming.
With that being said, I wanted to begin a discussion about what other people do to create a daily routine that allows them to function despite the rollercoaster that is their daily mood.
How much structure do you have in your routine? Do you change/settings or adjust your routine based on your mood?
Do you have any micro-habits that have helped? Do you plan for things in advance? Do you take each day as it comes and follow your mood?

A few things I have tried
- A very basic ‘core’ or ‘foundation’ for my routine. (Wake Up Time and one daily grounding habit.)
- Creating flexible timeframes to allow for changes in my mood throughout the day.
- A quick ‘rescue plan’ or strategy for those bad patches, (like a two-minute breathing exercise or getting up and going outside).
