How long did you take to find the right medication

Finding the right balance is of course time taking and requires patience. Many go through multiple medication trials to end up perfectly what works the best. The process is frustrating and especially when a medication improves one symptom but worsens another. Some claim that it took months to find the right match. Others did the adjustments for years.

Keeping track of changes has often helped people in communicate in a better way during doctor visits. Some involved family members to observe differences as external signs can sometimes be clearer compared to how we feel internally.

Have you ever felt discouraged during the process? What has helped you to stay hopeful while finding something that works the best? Do share your own views and experiences here.

I also have experienced moments of discouragement when a new medication worked for one issue but caused me problems with something else. In order to remain hopeful, I track my mood and side effects, even small signs of improvement can give me hope.
