Hello friends,

I am starting this discussion about how living with bipolar disorder can feel different at various stages of life. Some find it starts early like as early as reaching teenage while managing studies, friendships or first jobs. Managing these are overwhelming. Challenges may shift toward balancing work, relationships and family responsibilities during midlife. However, it has been noticed that priorities usually change in later stage of life while focusing more on health, medication and stability.

It is interesting to know the way treatment goals, coping skills and support needs evolve at various stages of life. I am seeking to hear your thoughts like how managing bipolar disorder change as we grow older or What kinds of adjustments you have witnessed being helpful.

Bipolar disorder has different phases and meaning depending on the stage of your life. Your youth is used to learn about the characteristics of bipolar disorder's symptoms. Adulthood includes a need to find a balance between working and maintaining significant relationships. Eventually, Stability and Wellness are at the forefront of your focus.
