Bipolar disorder people often witness very different experiences with respect to mania and depression. Some feels more disruptive in mania or hypomania as it brings impulsive decisions, racing thoughts, lack of sleep or such behavior that is really hard to control. Others find depression harder as it may weaken motivation, affect daily routines and make everything feel heavier. However, both are challenging but in their own ways. The experiences differ from person to person.
It is learned that some struggle more with the consequences of mania. The struggles are like over-spending, strained relationships or exhaustion afterward. Others feel that depression affects them more deeply as the situation is harder to climb out of. It may impact work, school or even the basic self-care. Some people with bipolar disorder claims to experience mixed states and the situation is worst when symptoms of mania and depression happen together.
