Does Poor Sleep Makes Symptoms Worse

I know a person who is suffering from Schizophrenia. According to him, proper sleep play a good role in how stable he feels. He adds that his thoughts race more, his mood feels off and even he finds harder to focus when he don’t sleep well. I have also read somewhere that poor sleep may make symptoms worse and this actually makes sense as our mind therefore don't get a break.

I really wonder how others manage sleep. Let us know whether you find that enough rest means keeping things more balanced. Is there any way to keep you sleep better like routines, medicines or else some relaxation tricks.

I believe that we need to stick to a regular bedtime and avoid screens while preparing ourselves for sleep. It may help to some extent. However, it is also true that the practice is not easy to keep up all the time.

I Would love to hear from others here the same as I feel that sleep often don't get enough attention in treatment.

Yes. Poor sleep effect you a lot of symptoms. Daily you should sleep 8 hrs. If you don't sleep, you will get so many health related issues, including angry issues, digestion issues, sudden weight gain, diabetics. You should take care of your health and maintain proper diet.

Sleep is similar to the moody boss that is agreeable to everything and provides an easy-going day when everything flows smoothly. When sleep is not working, the entire mind seems to go on strike.
