How to Talk About Schizophrenia at Work or School

I have been lately wondering how people handle talking about schizophrenia at work, school or other such places. Believe me, it is absolutely not easy. Many worry that they might be thereafter judged the other way or misunderstood. However, it is also true that keeping everything to yourself turns stressful and particularly when symptoms get in the way.

Hence, I am really curious to know here from forum members about how you all deal with this like have you ever told your boss, teacher or co-worker about your condition. How you shared it and did it make things easier or harder for you thereafter.

Everyone manages this situation differently. Some have found that sharing has made things much easier for them, while others have simply added awkward small talk about it in their conversations. The most humorous aspect of sharing is the way people will respond to it, with some trying to be overly nice, some being very confused, and others reacting as if you are coming from another planet!
