Grounding techniques sometime make a big difference and particularly when things start feeling unreal or overwhelming. Some count objects while others focus on breathing. Grounding techniques can often bring comfort when everything around you seems distant or overwhelming. There is no one right way to ground yourself. All people have different methods to anchor themselves using breath, naming objects, or tactile sensations.
